In this lesson, we reviewed the Love and Respect commandment by God in Ephesians chapter 5. In addition, we talked about the differences between women and men in which we referred to as Blue and Pink eyesight. Finally, we discussed how I can make sure I am treating my spouse with Love/Respect. We covered that checklist for the man in which we called C-O-U-P-L-E. We started and will complete this same for the woman in the next lesson in which we called C-H-A-I-R. Please respond to this thread with any thoughts or comments that God impressed upon you with during the study, so that we can learn through one another.

God Bless

T.J.

I will be the first to reply -

Would anyone like to share some phrases that we say that men and women look at different ways such as - "I have nothing to wear"

Would anyone like to share certain hot button words that their spouse says that you don't like such as "you always --" or "could I make a suggestion"

TJ,

Just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed these lessons on relationships, and can see in my life how they can be applied not only to my marriage relationship, but to the relationships with my children, parents, siblilngs, and those I work with. I also want to say how much I appreciate this website, I missed church sunday and was so happy to be able to listen to the sermons on the website. I think it would be great if we could add video to some of the services as well. God Bless!

TJ,

I think that one of the points that has stuck in my head the most is the "dying to self" concept. I will admit, I have thought a lot about it this week, and have determined that i'm a very selfish husband. I may be in for a long journey of Christ changing my attitude, but I pray that he continues to work on me.

I also had to back and apologize to Kim about a few things from the past that I thought she may still remember. She did, and reminded me of some more. It felt good to tell her that I was sorry and ask for her forgivness. I had never told her that (sorry) over those instances so long ago.
