V 28 – 30 the purpose of the vision:
1. Declares the existence: Isaiah 46 v 9 -10
2. To reveal that God knows the thoughts of men. Psalms 139 v 1

The third kingdom
The fourth kingdom (2)
The feet which is mixed with Iron and clay. The last kingdom will be weakened and divided into several nations and will have 10 toes.
The last is a stone (supernatural)

2. Head – v 32, 35, 38 Babylon for how long?

3. Arms – v 32, 35, 39 Medes and Persians
Note: a difference in fineness and value
4. The belly of brass – v 32, 35, 39 – This represents the next world kingdom led by Alexander the great – the Grecian empire.
5. The legs of Iron – v 33 – 35, 40. This represents the old Roman Empire
Note: After Julius Ceasar, the government was split into two parts and decreased in strength.
The feet and toes of Iron and clay –v 41 - 44
This is in part the old Roman empire; it is remnants of that great empire that will be present in the latter days.
It will have 10 toes, or 10 nations of that geographical area that will come together in a union. V 44 these are Kings. Note: Rev.17 v 12-13
The clay represents rule by the masses, or the people and democracy while iron represents rule by kings. We are in a war with evil, Iraq, Afghanistan, a war between kings and tyrants and democracy. It is all according to the wisdom of God.
The stone – this is one that is not manmade, This is Christ.
The battle of Armageddon – a sudden blow to the image. Rev.19:v11, 15
The last great kingdom, the millennial reign:
1. Jesus is the rock

2. The millennial reign of Christ;

Reaction from the dream:
- The King: he was humbled as he realized the power of God.
God alone gives this power to men. Romans 13 v 1
- The position of Daniel and his friends: The favor of God
