I. The personal testimony v 1 – 5
V 1 Unto all people, : I wanted to show the signs and wonders that “high God” hath shown to me.
How great are his signs and how mighty are his wonders. Romans 11 v 33
V 3 The King now sees two great truths of the kingdom. He sees:
The eternal kingdom: Psa 9:7 Luke 1:31
He sees that eternal generations Ecc 1 v 4, Rev. 22 v 4 -5
What happened to this man? V 6 - 7
Look back at his attitude –
What happened? God convicted his heart again.
Application: in this world, so many refuse the conviction of God
II. The Dream recited v 8 – 18 What was this dream that so troubled this great King?
V 8 the statement regarding his changing of
I Know –
I know that the spirit of the one true God is within you - master of magicians
Notice: the favor of God. When did Daniel receive this gift?
III. The dream
A tree- height of the tree - tree was strong
The leaves The shadow
IV. The Action in the dream:
A watcher Hew down Cut off the branches Let his heart be changed Let seven times pass over him
This decree comes from the holy ones
V. The Interpretation –
Daniel was astonished for one hour
The particulars –
Tree - Height - Strength – Much fruit –
The watchers – Angel Heb. 1 v 14 : 4 types or ranks of Angels -
The sentence: v 25
God is a loving God, a gracious God but also – Psalms 9 v 7
This is what it means to the King:
The message behind the roots – God is a loving and forgiving God.

Application: Knowing that I needed to repent of my sins,
Pride brings destruction, in a life, in relationships, in churches today.
