Application: 1. What should we do? 2. Our loyalty should be to God first.
How will Daniel respond to this ban on prayer?
A ban on all prayer and religion.
Daniel was not in religion but relationship.
Do we still do this, do we still at times focus on religion and not relationship? At times, do we get too legalistic?
III. What happened?
V 10 Daniel was obedient and faithful
Application: This world, Satan will try to work in our lives in our failures, in lust, in sin, in things of the world, to slow down and hinder our relationship with God.
Daniel did as he had before, he was known as a man of prayer. Psa. 55:16 17
V 11They were spying on Daniel.
V 15 The decree according to custom.
V 14 The King was upset at himself – We should be careful about who we take confidence in. The world does not or cannot understand the expectations of God.

Look at the difference between this King and King Neb.

Take a glimpse inside the den of Lions
Why did Daniel? Why did Joseph? Have you ever considered the decision of Joseph? He could not win and he did not deserve it?
Why do we go through times when life brings things we really do not deserve? Romans 8:28 Gen 50:20 Heb. 11:33
Application: No matter what den, or lion, or problem, God will deliver which brings more favor, and gives him glory.
IV. Conclusion: v 23 – 28
God brought vengeance – It is his, what should I do for that one?
