Daniel chapter 12

The last part of the vision

 ¹And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people:

“At that time” - What time? Keep in context, look at the ending of Chapter 11. When is God talking about?

Michael – that arc angel, the special prince or angel assigned to the nation of Israel or Gods people.

He will stand up – we are dealing with the 2^nd three and a half years in the seven year period.

This time is known as the great tribulation. The Antichrist will turn on Israel. 

So in response, Michael will stand up and fight for the nation of Israel. 

In the first division – lesser tribulation

In the second division – Jacobs trouble, great tribulation. It will be severe and corresponds to the last 7 vials of tribulation starting in Rev. 10. 

The 7 vials are 1. boils             2. Blood in the sea

3. Blood in the rivers               4. Great heat from sun

5. Darkness – Mark 13 v 24

6. The great Euphrates river will dry up making way for the kings of the east.

Important note: He is speaking about the last part of tribulation. V 7.

In this time, great persecution on the Nation of Israel. 

Revelation and 12 describes this age old battle.

At that time, thy people will be delivered.

Interesting – every found written in the book.

^{Rev. 20 :12}And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

What are the books plural? 

^{Rev. 21:27}And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. All that are saved. 

^{Gal 3:10}For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. This would be for those under the law. 

^{Ecc 12:14}For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Mal 3:¹⁶Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

^{Psa 139:16}Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. Book of the living.

God’s book –ex32: ³³And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. This is God’s book – refers to Moses and Israel.

Who is God talking to?

When is he talking about? The end of probation of the Jews. After the 31/2 years, after the conflict.

Rapture and the church – before tribulation.

What book is he talking about?

²And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Many of them that sleep – Speaking about the resurrection of the dead.

2 parts to the resurrection – 1. just 2. unjust.

Many – some were at the time of crucifixion

Other old testament saints of Israel were ascended with Christ.

Question: What about the blinded Jews that Paul says is still blinded to this day? Those that could not see or recognize Christ.

They will see and recognize him when he comes at the end of tribulation as the Messiah.

Zechariah 12:10  ¹⁰And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Thos alive at the cross till now that were blinded.

This is a resurrection for Daniel’s people. Some will come to everlasting life, and some will come for shame and everlasting contempt.

When: at the end of tribulation, after the battle of Armageddon, after Christ defeats the Antichrist, and before he sits upon his throne.

³And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

They that be wise and find righteousness.

⁴But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Seal up anything else, the details and events will not be told or shown anymore.^{Rev. 6:1}And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.

The rest of the story, the events and actions of what will transpire were sealed up, shown to John in Revelations and the actions will not be opened until the Lamb does it.

When will the seals be removed?

At the time of the end – Revelations 6, after the church age Rev 2, after the rapture, Rev. 4, then the tribulation starts.

The first seal – a rider on a white horse.

At the time of the end when knowledge will be increased.

Isaac Newton – “Personally, I cannot help but believe that these words refer to the end of the times. Men will travel from country to country in an unprecedented manner.” remarked above 50 mph.

Voltaire responded as he was a critic of Christian faith, “What a fool Christianity makes of an otherwise brilliant man. Has he forgotten that if man would travel at this rate he would be suffocated? His heart would stand still.”

At moon landings man has traveled faster than a .22 caliber rifle bullet travels. 

From the garden of Eden until the beginning of the 1900s, rode horses or walked.

Look at what has happened since the 1900’s.

New York to Paris in 3 hours.

How about in the early 1900’s, would we have ever thought about the televisions, VCR, DVD, Blue Ray, HD T.V., Records, Cassettes, I Pods, Fax machines, Internet, email, Instant messengers, Face books, My space, instant communication. Shooting the moon looking for water. How about dishwashers or microwaves. 

DNA science, physics and the science of the universe.

It did not happen over time, but in the last century what advances and what technology. It has been a knowledge explosion.

What other signs do we have for the end?
